I used a lot of the hue and saturation tools to help blend the objects together and look cohesive. I also used the gaussian blur tool, particularly for the atmospheric perspective for the background. I framed my creature with a dark foreground to add more drama to the situation and added the silhouette of a rabbit as my secondary point of emphasis. As you can see by the screenshot to the left, I used a lot of layers in my work to keep it organized and allow easy adjustment of objects.
